New Student Account Setup Guide - 色色研究所

Welcome to Johnson County Community College! Follow these steps to get your student account fully set up and secure.

Step 1: Log In to Your Account

Logging into your 色色研究所 student Microsoft account allows you to access your My色色研究所 accounts and reset your password anytime. Some students already have a personal Microsoft account.  Please note: your 色色研究所 student Microsoft account is a separate account and will use a different username and password from your personal Microsoft account. 

You’ll need:

  • Username (色色研究所 email address found in your acceptance email)
  • Temporary password (found in your acceptance email)

Steps:

  1. Go to:  
  2. At the Microsoft Sign In page, enter your 色色研究所 email (e.g., username@stumail.jccc.edu).
  3. Select Next.
  4. Enter your temporary password from your acceptance letter.
  5. Select Sign in.

Step 2: Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

To protect your account, 色色研究所 requires multifactor authentication (MFA) to access certain applications.

When you see the prompt “Let’s keep your account secure,” follow these steps:

  1. Click Next.
  2. Select “I want to set up a different method” (bottom left).
  3. Choose Phone from the dropdown.
    • Enter your phone number, including area code. If outside the U.S., select the correct country.
    • Important:Choose a phone number that you will have with you regularly. You’ll need it to receive authentication codes when logging in to your 色色研究所 accounts.
  4. Choose “receive a code” and click Next.
  5. Enter the code sent to your phone.
  6. Click Next, then Done.
  7. When asked if you want to stay signed in:
    • Choose Yes on a personal device.
    • Choose No on a public/shared device.
  8. After logging in to your account, select Change Password to change your temporary password to one that’s secure and easy to remember.
    • Password must not contain the user’s name or username, must have 10 characters, and have at least three of the following:
      • Uppercase letters (A–Z)
      • Lowercase letters (a–z)
      • Numbers (0–9)
      • Symbols (e.g., ! @ # $ % ^ & *)
  9. Create and confirm your new password.
  10. Select Submit.

Step 3: Log in to My色色研究所

to access your student email, register for classes, pay tuition, check your financial aid, and much more.   

Step 4: Access Your Student Email

Your student email inbox is located on the 色色研究所 Student Email card in My色色研究所.

  1. Click “Go to Your Student Email” to view your emails.
  2. Once you are admitted, 色色研究所 will send email communications to your My色色研究所 student email address and will no longer email your personal email account.
  3. Check your My色色研究所 student email often for important information and updates.
